What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need to bring an Ethernet cord which can be purchased at all electronic stores. We have a pamphlet at the front desk that can give you instructions on recommended settings.

How many people live there?

We have 1115 rooms at Campus Lodge with 360 units.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?

We do not send out a monthly rent statement. Rent is due on the first day of the month. There is no late charge on the second of the month as it is a grace period. After the 2nd day at 11:59pm, rent is late and there is a $40 late fee with a $5 additional fee each day thereafter.

What utilities are included in my rent?

Almost everything! Campus Lodge includes electricity (allotment), water, sewer, pest control & daily trash removal from building ground floor collection points. We also offer internet and cable with HBO.

When do I put down a deposit?

Deposits are due at the time of signing the lease agreement and are equal to three times the monthly rent. Have a qualified Guarantor? We are waiving all deposits for individuals with a qualified Guarantor! Stop by the office for more a copy of our sponsor guaranty form and policies!

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Great News! Campus Lodge added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website, click the "Resident's Only" link and "Pay Rent." This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Unfortunately, we do not offer a discount for paying rent in full at this time.

What size are the beds?

Bigger than most! We provide a QUEEN size bed in every bedroom.

Is parking available?

Of course! Residents will receive parking decals for their vehicles when they move in. There are spaces around every building to park. If you have friends that would like to visit, we offer guest parking.

When is my first payment due?

For all new residents moving in on August 21, 2010 your first payment is due on July 15th, 2010.

If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?

All of our residents are required to have a guarantor, regardless of age. To qualify without a guarantor we require a 3 month rent deposit which is held until your lease expires.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?

We are more than happy to accommodate you if you have roommates you would prefer to live with. Don't have roommates? No problem! We provide roommate matching services! On Facebook? Add the ROOMBUG app to your profile - Campus Lodge now offers online roommate matching through RoomBug!

When can I move in?

The Fall move-in date is August 21, 2010.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Because Campus Lodge understands that unforeseen events may happen, we do offer lease transfers. You would need to find someone to take over your lease (as a lease transfer). You may pick up a copy of our lease transfer procedures in the front office.

Can I use my financial aid?

Unfortunately, since we are not directly associated with the University of Florida or Santa Fe Community College, we do not directly accept financial aid. However, you may use your financial aid to pay your rent as long as it is in the form of our acceptable payment methods.

How close to campus are you?

We are located 2.24 miles from the University of Florida. Approximately 6 minutes of driving time and about 15 minutes of bus time. We are located 10.14 miles from Santa Fe College. Approximately 13 minutes of driving time.

What types of apartments/rooms are available?

Here at Campus Lodge we have 2, 3, and 4 bedroom suites available. Remember, here at Campus Lodge, everyone here has their own bathroom. PLUS Campus Lodge offers the largest floor plans available for individually leased apartments!

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 month leases to all of our residents. The lease term for Fall 2010 is August 21, 2010 to July 31, 2011. We also have a limited number of 5 and 10 month leases available - inquire at the office!

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

We want your apartment to feel like home so you may bring anything else you would like for your suite. Remember, all apartments come fully furnished, and all furniture must stay inside the apartment.

How do I get to Campus by bus?

Four buses pick up at Campus Lodge. The number 35 picks up at the front of the complex at our bus stop on Williston Road. The numbers 9, 36, and 34 pick up at the bus stop at the back of the complex, past building 12. The bus drops you off in the center campus. Make sure you have your Gator 1 card to show the driver when you get on the bus. There is no cost for the RTS bus service taking you to campus as long as you have your Gator 1 card. Can we decorate our apartment?

We encourage residents to personalize and decorate their suites. You are allowed to hang pictures on the walls, re-arrange furniture, hang window treatments, and anything else you can think of. However, you can not move the furniture Campus Lodge provides out of the apartment (this includes onto the patio).

What do I need to bring with me when I move in?

Apartments come fully furnished, so you will only need to bring your personal items. We recommend that residents speak with their roommates prior to moving in to discuss what items everyone is bringing (e.g., you do not want to have four toasters in the kitchen). For the kitchen, you will need to bring dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and cleaning supplies. For your bedroom, you will need to bring linens, towels, electronics, and personal items. Each bedroom has its own internet port, so you will need to bring an Ethernet cord for your computer.

What is roommate matching?

All residents are asked to fill out a roommate matching form when they apply for residency. Some of the categories by which we match people include year in school, smoking vs. non-smoking, housekeeping habits, study habits and interests. We ask all residents to fill out this form as honestly as possible so that we can match you to the best of our abilities.

What exactly does my rent include?

Your monthly rent includes just about everything you could want or need. Apartments come fully furnished with all hardwood furniture, all major appliances, and all utilities except for local phone service. On-site, residents have access to our Huge Resort-Style Pool, 24-hour Cardio and Weight Rooms, Basketball Courts, BBQ Picnic Area and 2 New South Beach Tanning Domes, just to mention a few. There is a monthly utility allotment of $40 per person.
